Federal GLOBE: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Employees of the Federal Government
As you probably know, legislation has been introduced in both the Senate and the House to extend benefits to same-sex partners of Federal employees.
Federal GLOBE: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Employees of the Federal Government is interested in ascertaining issues about benefits from our community to help to help with the consideration of this legislation which is currently referred to as The Domestic Partners Benefits and Obligations Act. We have developed a questionnaire which we ask you to please fill out so that we can understand the range of issues.
This questionnaire may be answered by all persons (employees, contractors, trust, and temporary) being funded from government funds (if in doubt, fill it out).
There are 10 questions, followed by some demographic information. One of the questions (#2) requests the annual cost of your domestic partner's health insurance costs (of course, if you have one) which you may want to find prior to filling out the survey, but please do not let this stop you from doing it.

Please pass this to all appropriate LGBT government employees that you know and ask them to also fill out the questionnaire and pass it on to their contacts.
We will share the findings with the appropriate Congressional committees and researchers who are looking at the issues of fairness in benefits. Unless you have indicated that you want to be contacted, your answers will be maintained completely anonymous.
